We are happy to announce Zoom Pro is now available to all W&L students, faculty and staff.  Due to the continually growing needs for all community members to collaborate virtually, ITS has negotiated a campus-wide license that is now in effect.  All users have access to the Zoom Pro licensing as outlined below.

A few very important notes for new and existing Zoom users:

  • Access method changing to W&L credentials only:
  • What do you need to do?
    • Simply login via the My Apps or W&L Zoom page links noted above.
    • If you are a Zoom “Basic” (free) account holder, by accessing Zoom using our links, your account automatically updates to the Zoom Pro licensing.
    • If you paid for your own Zoom account but used your W&L email address as your username and you,
      • Wish to eliminate that paid account: contact Zoom support.
      • Wish to keep your own, personal paid account: Visit your profile and update your username to a personal email account before Monday, July 20.
  • What does Zoom Pro licensing give you?
    • Host unlimited virtual sessions
    • Allows up to 100 participants per session
    • Unlimited meeting length (vs. the 40-minute maximum imposed by Zoom Basic licensing)
    • Customize Personal Meeting ID
    • Record sessions to the Zoom cloud
    • Assign others, or serve for others, as alternative host for sessions
    • Assign others, or be assigned as, scheduler for sessions.
  • Where can I learn more about Zoom features and functions?

    • Visit Zoom’s online support at https://support.zoom.us/
      • Live training is provided including joining a meeting to learn the controls.
