Workday Major Feature Release Upgrade – Saturday March 9th

Twice each year, Workday releases major upgrades to its cloud-based human capital management, financial management, business planning, and student information software. The work is intended to improve functionality for users, while enhancing backend architecture and performance.

The next scheduled upgrade, called Workday 2024 R1, will be Saturday, March 9th from 2:00 AM EST to 5:00 AM EST. Workday will be unavailable to all users worldwide during this window. A brief review of the upcoming new features can be found below.

My Tasks, Sorting Options and Advanced Search

A more robust inbox will provide enhanced functionality for advanced search, sorting and filtering. A task oriented workflow will give users the tools to manage delegations while new efficiencies provide options to search by title and save your searches. Additional details can be found in the following Box document.

Pronunciation

New functionality will provide employees the ability to record an audio pronunciation of their name and write out a phonetic spelling. Please visit the Quick Tips page for instructions on this and many of the most commonly used Workday tasks.

Benefits and Pay Hub

A new app called Benefits and Pay Hub will be available in the apps section providing a one stop location to display pay, benefits, compensation, tax documents, and more. This new app combines the formerly separated Benefits App and Pay App. Please visit the Quick Tips page for instructions on many of the most commonly used benefits and/or pay Workday tasks.

Expenses Hub

The Expenses Hub will be a helpful new feature giving users access to their expense reports, expense transactions (for PNC charges), spend authorizations, cash advances, and payment elections, all from one location. Find out more about the new Expenses Hub by viewing the following guide on Box.
