Box File Request

Box has an upgraded feature that makes collaboration with students and staff even easier. The “file request” option gives you a fast and secure way to request and obtain files, plus associated metadata, from anyone using an easy, drag-and-drop graphic interface.

This is all accomplished by sending students (or others) a link to a simple Box web form that is used to collect the files you want to aggregate. You can also request additional information such as a description of the file being uploaded, data fields, or email address. To learn more about using the file request feature, check out our instruction page here.

Upgrade to Zoom 5.0

It’s time to enhance the security of your Zoom meetings with the latest update. Zoom 5.0 features advanced encryption, which provides added protection for meeting data and greater resistance to tampering. After May 30, 2020, older versions will receive a forced upgrade when trying to join meetings as their advanced encryption will be fully enabled across the entire Zoom platform.

Duo For First Year Students

Class of 2024 students began setting up their University accounts in early April. In doing so, they claim the distinction as the first group of incoming students required to activate Duo Multi-Factor Authentication. As expected, students were able to quickly and easily enable the Duo App on their phones, giving them advanced protection against unauthorized access to their accounts and personal data.

In the coming year, ITS will be announcing steps to ensure that all University employees are protected by multi-factor authentication. Click here to learn more about the benefits of Duo.
