Subject: Update on Virtual Instruction Academy (VIA) Enrollment and Zoom Licensing

An update to my note from yesterday afternoon:

VIA session (https://go.wlu.edu/via) enrollment counts, and “Session Full” notices, are related to IN PERSON attendance only!

  • Those wishing to attend via Zoom do not need to register.
  • Please “unenroll” if you will not be attending in person.
  • Use the link provided in the session description to join without enrolling.
  • If attending by Zoom, the first 100 attendees will be allowed in the session before a cap is imposed. (Zoom max attendee limit.)
  • ITS is recording sessions to share afterwards for those who are not able to join.

Zoom licensing now available for faculty:

  • All faculty (Undergrad and Law) have been assigned Zoom Pro licensing.
  • We ask non-teaching faculty to please not use a license at this moment if possible. We remain tight on total seats available despite the increases.
  • The best method to access Zoom online, as well as most all W&L licensed applications, is to visit https://okta.wlu.edu and look for the Zoom “Tile” on that page.
  • The URL to download Zoom to your computer: https://zoom.us/download

The Help Desk is open and ITS is prepared to support, please keep us informed with what needs you have:
